Born in Cleveland, Ohio and a graduate of Boston University’s School of Management with a degree in Accounting.
I began my career at Deloitte, where I trained in Corporate Accounting and Auditing and earned my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, before moving abroad and learning firsthand what it means to be an expat.
I lived as an expat for over 8 years, and I felt the same anxiety so many of my clients describe: being thousands of miles from home while still needing to fully comply with every US tax rule and regulation.
That experience is exactly why I started Universal Tax Professionals. I wanted expats to have an accountant who has actually lived the problem, not just studied it.
As a US expat accountant, I’ve helped prepare over 20,000 United States tax returns for Americans living in foreign countries, and I continue in that capacity today.

I also believe in transparent pricing. We charge flat rates that are disclosed upfront, so you always know what to expect before we start.
Some firms won’t reveal pricing information until you have an actual meeting with them, while others charge by the hour, with the total number of hours not being known until the process is over.
I know I certainly wouldn’t want any such arrangement if I were the client!
